Our Story

In the summer of 2009 our lead pastor and his wife felt called to start a new church.  As they studied and prayed about what a new church would look like they we also seeking where God would place this new community of believers.  They dreamed of a new church in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado or perhaps in the Pacific Northwest but felt the Lord leading them to North Texas.

As they prayed and drove around cities like Denton and Roanoke the Lord led them to the Saginaw/ Northwest Fort Worth area.  The population growth of the area had outpaced church growth and God burdened them to start a church for the families who live in this area.  Russell resigned from First Baptist Kerrville in the Summer of 2010 and they moved to Fort Worth.

In January 2011 four families started meeting together in Russell and Crystal's home to pray, study God's word and see what the Lord was going to do as He built His church.  The vision was a church that did not compete with other churches in the area but helped complete the calling of God to love and serve the people of Northwest Tarrant County.

God has been gracious to bless us with an amazingly talented band, loving childrens workers, and incredible family to lead our youth, community group leaders who build friendships with people and a church with a compassionate heart.  We continue to meet in an elementary school as it gives us a place to minister and the ability to use the resources God has given us for ministry and missions not property and pride. Join us as we proclaim the glory and fame of Jesus in Northwest Fort Worth.

Kaleo Community church is a place for everyone, no matter your religious or non-religious background.  We are a church open to skeptics and people with all sorts of questions about the faith.  As we grow our goal is to be a place where people can be themselves and still connect with God through Jesus, His son.
